[atrb=background,http://i43.tinypic.com/1zed2qb.png] respect, is what we all want. every single one of us. staff, members, and even guests. it's not our duty to tell you to respect one another. what, you're thirteen years old and you still can't learn to be nice to other people? if you can't do this you might as well leave. it also ties into respecting those above you. the staff of savage are here to make your roleplaying experience fun. they can't do that if you harass them. this is the golden rule. treat others the way you want to be treated. one account, per person. so, no additional accounts for each of your characters. if we catch you adding more accounts than you should be, you'll be banned and all of your accounts deleted. it helps keep the site organized. remember, staff can see you're ip addresses. powerplaying/godmodding, is unacceptable and will not be tolerated here. powerplaying is the use of overpowering someone elses character without their consent. (ex. dog one attacked dog two, throwing him to the ground as he bit him.) you don't know if your attack will hit. but this also leads to godmodding. no dog is invincible or cannot be hit or killed. however, the canine being killed is up to you and the roleplayer. this just isn't fair. so, we have made the rule of three dodges per battle. unless it manages to be a lengthened battle. swearing & chatspeak, is also something we really don't want to see. swearing is to be kept at a minimum, in character and out. we really don't want to see the f-bomb in every sentence, or post even. it's not nice to look at. chatspeak should not be seen in character at all. common things in the chatbox like brb, or lol are acceptable. just don't 'talk lyke dis' it's hard to understand and drives people (the admins) insane. activity, is something we do want to see. we really don't like it when members join and never come on again, or join and half-create a character before leaving. it's downright unacceptable. if you're on vacation, or going to be somewhere else for a while then tell us! don't let us think you've abandoned us. thats why we have an absence board. after a week, and if you haven't done anything when you joined, as in make a character, post, etcetera we'll delete your account. any WIP application that has not been finished in over a week, without an away notification, will be deleted. you can store it in your user notes or in a word document or something if it's going to take you longer. if you have not logged into your account in over two weeks - also dependent on away notifications - your account will be deleted.

[/li][li]characters, are not to be something made up entirely. we are at least a little realistic. coat colours are to be kept normal, no purples or blues or greens. however we allow markings. please keep in mind all markings, etc must be bought in the shop, however. even with powers, don't get too fantastical. we have a power list for a reason. you can deviate a little, obviously, to tailor a power to your character, but that's it. if you have an idea and the power isn't listed, just contact castaway! also, don't make your animal the hottest thing on earth. trust me, not every other animal will like them. also, please respect the fact that you can only have three characters per person. it keeps everything in check, plus helps people with their muse. having a whole lot of characters isn't good for you're muse. however, you are able to buy extra character slots in the shop.

[/li][li]fighting & breeding, is to be kept pg13. fade to black please when breeding, and leave the gory bits out of the battling. it's disgusting and will get us all in trouble. and you don't want to see savage go down right? no, i didn't think so. so just don't go all insane with it please.

[/li][li]word count, is a reasonable two hundred and fifty words per post. we all understand that you can have your bad days. though, try to reach higher than that. later on, if you have a higher priority figure, at least one three hundred or four please. of course, we believe in quality over quantity as well, so try not to ramble on if it means your post will be crappy.

[/li][li]images, are all meant to not stretch the board. be it tables, signatures or avatars. so, to keep it organized we want the avatars to be 130x200, signatures no wider than 500px and tables the same. reminder that if we catch anything stretching the boards it will have to come down. please and thanks! warning! 500px wide images do stretch the board in firefox 7, but this is the only version of firefox in which this occurs. 500px wide images do not stretch the boards in any other version or browser, and as such will still be allowed. sorry to those viewing the site in firefox 7.

[/li][li]name listing, is there for a reason! we really would hate to see doubles. so before you make your character be sure to check in the name claim. also, post there after being accepted, so no one can take your name! thanks!

[/li][li]and also, did you know that the latin phrase carpe diem means "seize the day"? well, you do now! make sure to put carpe diem as your code word in your application form, or else you'll never get accepted!

[/li][li]one more thing, the way we're going about roleplaying here is different. you need to go through all of the pyraeus outlands in order to get to lykengard. the boards in the outlands are all made in order. so, feel free to travel with friends. or, all by yourself. staff will be generating frightful savages to try and steer you away! be aware, you are allowed to create savages yourself, but only a few.. we don't want them overrunning the site. thanks! pm castaway or camerlengo for any further details you might need.
