WINTER
I'm gonna make you bend and break;
the basics. the basics. the basics. the basics. the basics. the basics.
the basics. the basics. the basics. the basics. the basics. the basics.
BIRTH NAME: Winter.
NICKNAMES: Call her Winter or not at all.
GENDER: Female.
MILESTONE: Three years.
SPECIES: Canine.
BREED: Gray wolf.
LOYALTY: Immortal.
SEXUALITY: Bisexual.
POWER: The season of Winter.
say a prayer but let the good times roll;
the looks. the looks. the looks. the looks. the looks. the looks.
the looks. the looks. the looks. the looks. the looks. the looks.
HEIGHT: 84cm at the shoulder.
WEIGHT: 37kg on average.
COAT COLOUR: Winter's fur is thick and ivory white, making her best suited to her season. She can blend in easy against the snow, and rarely gets cold. Her fur is thinner on the bottoms of her legs, and thicker around her neck and shoulders.
EYE COLOUR: Winter's eyes are almond-shaped, almost catlike, and icy blue in color. They reflect her personality very well- cold and uncaring. If you look closely in them, you can almost see the webs of cracked ice inside them.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Winter is large for a wolf, and her contrasting, pure colors definitely make her a target, especially in the warmer seasons, where her coat is easily noticeable against the landscape. Most animals with white fur and bright blue eyes are deaf, but Winter's hearing is as sharp as any canine's. This in itself is cause for surprise, though it is possible. Any beast who knows of the Immortals could easily recognize her on sight, to sum it up.
OVERALL APPEARANCE: Winter is far from beautiful- in fact, she's more masculine in appearance than even some male wolves. She is broad-shouldered and bulky, and could easily pass for a male on first glance. Her thick, white fur adds to her large frame, making her look more intimidating than she already is. Her face is nicely pointed, however, adding some semblance of feminine air to her. Whatever beauty this may add to her is marred, however, by the fact that the back of her right ear is torn and shredded from a battle with a Savage as she and the other Immortals fled Lykengard after closing it from the world. Her icy eyes are no pretty feature either, and she has her fair share of battle scars on her legs and back, despite her young age. She does, however, have a powerful body and strong features- function over beauty, really.
in case god doesn't show, let the good times roll;
the mind. the mind. the mind. the mind. the mind. the mind. the mind.
the mind. the mind. the mind. the mind. the mind. the mind. the mind.
LIKES: Solitude, silence, hunting, night time, birds, winter, snow, ice, families, intelligence.
DISLIKES: Ignorance, waiting, loud noises, pups, immaturity, summer, bright colors, stupidity, immorality.
STRENGTHS: Winter is particularly smart, good at hunting and fighting, a silent mover, and is fiercely loyal.
WEAKNESSES: Winter can be impatient, sarcastic and has a bad attitude. She also doesn't like to talk.
DESIRES: Winter wants to exact revenge on the Savages for her father's death. She was very close to the Winter before her, and she blames herself for his death.
SECRETS: Winter has a warm side to her- she can be very maternal, and would never let a pup or newborn animal of any kind die, regardless of its parents' loyalties.
PHOBIAS: Winter fears that she may one day be responsible for the fate of Pyraeus, or that the other Immortals will be killed and she will be the only one left.
OVERALL PERSONALITY: Winter is best known for her cold, sarcastic personality. She rarely speaks to the other Immortals, or other beasts in general. She prefers silence, and likes to keep to herself. Part of her is vengeful, too. She feels responsible for the death of her father, and is determined to show the Savages just how angry she is with them. Winter may be a lone wolf, but she's a fighter, and isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She isn't heartless, for one thing. She has a maternal instinct, and would never let any pup or young animal die because she was too vain to take care of it. However, Winter isn't afraid to kill another animal in battle, and has dealt with her fair share of Savages since leaving Lykengard. She is a very ethical wolf, as well. She isn't a coward, and would never resort to underhanded methods to get back at the Savages, no matter how tempting it may be. She hates anything immoral, and the Savages stand for everything bad that has ever happened before, and Winter is determined to make them pay.
and I want these words to make things right;
the history. the history. the history. the history.
the history. the history. the history. the history.
BIRTHPLACE: Winter was born in Lykengard.
SIRE: Winter was sired by the Winter before her, the Immortal creator of the season sharing his name.
DAME: Winter does not know who her mother was- or if she even had a mother. She never asked her father about this.
SIBLINGS: Winter has no siblings or half-siblings that she is aware of.
LOVERS: Winter's heart belongs to no one, male or female.
OFFSPRING: Winter has mothered no pups in her lifetime.
OTHER: The other Immortal wolves; Spring, Summer, and Autumn, have all played a large role in Winter's youth.
HISTORY: Winter was born to the wolf Winter before her, the Immortal creator of the season of winter. She never knew her mother, or if she even had a mother at all. It was just her and her father, and they were very close to each other. Winter came to know the other Immortal wolves as well: Spring, Summer, and Autumn, and their pups. Again, she never knew any of them to have a mother, but she never questioned it. She was never a particularly curious wolf.
At a young age, Winter grew withdrawn, choosing only to speak in front of her father. She was a quiet pup, unlike the others. Despite her youth, she was determined to know about the goings on of Pyraeus around her, and urged her father to tell her every detail about the land, and the beasts in it. This was how she learned about the Savages, and how the Immortals were closing off Lykengard to preserve the land's perfection. She herself assisted with the blocking of Lykengard from the minds of the beasts, and helped close off the land from anyone but the Immortals themselves.
It was during this process that the Savages attacked and killed her father. When she discovered that Winter had been brutally murdered, part of her died inside, and she swore to avenge her father's death, if she could ever find the Savages who did this. She rose to take her father's place as the Immortal of the season of winter, and finished closing off Lykengard alongside the other Immortals and their children. Throughout this process, all of the original Immortal wolves were either killed or driven off, leaving only their children to take their places. Winter separated herself from the other Immortals and did her share of the work alone. Finally, Lykengard was no more than a faded memory.
As she and the other wolves left the land of Lykengard, she was attacked by Savages, and managed to barely hold them off before escaping to the Outlands alongside the other beasts. There, she continues to remain anonymous, though she is often recognized on site as Winter's daughter and namesake, and an Immortal.
but it's the wrongs that make the truth come to life;
about me. about me. about me. about me. about me. about me. about me.
about me. about me. about me. about me. about me. about me. about me.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:Rose wasn't sure what had lead her to the pool in her freshman year. She had simply been exploring the place, trying to get a feel for the general surroundings, when she had found a door that lead to... this. The comfortable, relaxing poolside atmosphere that was so difficult to find in one's everyday life. Whoever had decided that it was a good idea to hide this pool in the university was a genius, as far as Rose was concerned.
Ever since she had found it, Rose had come to visit the pool every now and then. Of course, she avoided it during the day, not for fear of meeting anyone else there, but because she simply didn't feel like conversing with anyone, and meeting someone at such a mysterious place as this was sure to ensure some conversation. This chilly day, however, Rose had broken her tradition to visit the pool in the late afternoon, when stress had worn her thin and she needed a way to unwind. Of course, it was cold outside, and she was in no mood to swim today, but perhaps the water would at least relax her a bit. After heading to the Ignus common room to change into a comfortable pair of denim shorts and a purple hoodie a size too big, she made her way to the pool, throwing caution into the wind.
She wandered the halls for only a couple minutes before locating the familiar door. It was cleverly disguised, mimicking the doors around it and giving no sign that it may contain something more than an empty classroom or a few mops and brooms. Rose grasped the door handle and pulled it open, sighing as she did so. She really needed to get away from reality.
Her fantasies of escaping were crushed when she noticed that the room was already occupied- by a boy, nonetheless. Rose wasn't particularly sexist, but the last thing she needed was to pick a fight with another guy- been there, done that, and she had learned the hard way that some men weren't afraid to hit a girl. Of course, a spell had easily helped the bruise recover, but it had still hurt nonetheless.
Rose froze in her tracks, letting the door slip closed silently behind her. Oh no. The boy was familiar, and it only took her a moment to recognize him. Scorpius Malfoy. Her breath hitched slightly. He had been in her house in Hogwarts- Slytherin. They had never really talked, but she knew he would remember her- if not for her hot-headed and introverted reputation, but for her parents. After all, Draco Malfoy had caused Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley a good deal of strife in their school years. By blood, her and Scorpius were supposed to be sworn enemies. But Rose had parted from her parents- she wasn't tied to them as she once was. Her life was her own, and her accomplishments her own. She had no need to bear grudges from the previous generation.
With this on her consciousness, Rose removed her shoes and socks quietly. Scorpius seemed to be too immersed in his book to notice as she trod barefoot towards the pool. She finally decided to make herself known by leaning over his right shoulder and picking a sentence from the book, reading it aloud.
"All of a sudden, the door opened, and old Stradlater barged in, in a big hurry. He was always in a big hurry. Everything was a very big deal."
With a mother like Hermione Granger, Rose was familiar with some of the more popular Muggle literary works, and she had to admit, they were well written and entertaining. In fact, she preferred Muggle works to the written works of her own kind- there was a severe lack of interesting novels written by witches or wizards. Of course, Rose was familiar with the book in question, if not due to the fact that each page had Catcher in the Rye printed neatly along the top, as most books she had read did.
"I didn't think I'd ever see a Malfoy reading Catcher in the Rye. What would your father say, Scorpius?"
Rose grinned lopsidedly, something she had inherited from her father, or so her mother said. She dropped to sit beside Scorpius, dipping her bare feet into the water beside him, glad that she had remembered to keep her legs clean-shaven. Rose's taunt was a low one- she knew from her parents that Malfoy men tended to be rather watchful of their children. Draco Malfoy wouldn't like to hear that his son had been reading Muggle literature, she was sure. But what concern of hers was it?
