In the beginning were the Immortals, living on the sphere of the world since the beginning of time itself. There were the four wolves, the creators of the seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. There was the Vulture, the creator of time. There was the Rabbit, the treasurer of the spirit, who passed judgement to beasts who had died. And there were the four Elementals: the bear of water, the deer of earth, the snake of fire, and the eagle of air. Together, the Immortals created the land of Pyraeus, and within it, the haven of Lykengard. They ruled the lands with justice and truth, and the beasts were content.
Alas, it was not to last. Some of the beasts, both inside and outside of Lykengard, grew greedy, and wanted to choose for themselves the path they would follow. They wanted to do as they pleased, without fear of punishment or banishment. They wanted to be free of the judgement of the Rabbit, the power of the Elementals, and the wrath of the seasons. These beasts were called the Savages, and they killed many in their lust for power.
The Immortals were greatly upset by the chaos and fear the Savages spread wherever they went, and they knew only one conclusion. They closed the walls of Lykengard to the outside world, banishing all who lived inside, regardless of their intentions. The Savages had become saturated in their greed; turned over, and had lost all former companionship with the Immortals in their original, peaceful homelands. They began seeking the very lives of the Immortals, so that they may inherit their awesome power. Because of this, the Immortals removed all memories of Lykengard from the beasts.
The Savages, however, were not happy to leave their paradise without causing some mayhem in return. In the process of the banishment, the Immortals were driven off, perhaps even killed. It is now up to their daughters, their sons, the new generation of Immortals, to stop the terrible reign of the Savages. Even regular beasts suddenly blessed with their ancestors' power must rise to the challenge. It's up to them to return their kind to Lykengard, and to vanquish the threat of the Savages forever.
Beasts from Pyraeus, Lykengard, and the distant lands who have not yet turned are wandering the outlands now, with one sole purpose: to find Lykengard. When the first Immortals removed the haven from memory, they also left the tiniest flicker of hope- the desire to find this paradise. Each and every beast, Savage or not, has this spark in them. Looking for Lykengard. Not only that, but the newborn Immortals are also seeking Lykengard. In order to find it, they must travel through the lands of Pyraeus, following their heart, and the spark of their ancestors, and ignoring the evil creatures they once knew as their friends. It will take effort, determination, and an incredibly strong mind to turn away from the Savages exquisite offerings- promises of power, of peace, and of glory. Will they make it? Will they find Lykengard? Or will they give in to the Savages, and have their lives taken away forever?
So, will you become one to help save Lykengard? Or will you side with the Savages, and hunt the Immortals down? You decide.
